History
ADAM Audio was founded in 1999 in Berlin, Germany. starting with the development of their eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology (X-ART) tweeter, based on the invention of the Air Motional Transformer by Oskar Heil in the 1960's. The acronym "ADAM" is also a reference to the Biblical figures Adam and Eve. The Berlin based factory currently employs a staff of 55; the company is represented in more than 75 countries. Their parent company is the Focusrite Group.
